This non-exempt position works 52 weeks per year. It is scheduled 5 days per week at 8 hours per day.
Salary will be determined based on the candidate's education and relevant experience.
Salary range: $49,000 - $53,227 annually
EVSC offers four (4) Anthem medical insurance plans. Full medical, dental and vision insurance are provided with this position. Employees may pay the additional cost to add family members. Click here to view the rates for each plan. If elected, insurance coverage begins the first of the month following the successful completion of a 30-day probationary period.
Employees enrolled in an EVSC medical insurance plan are eligible to use any of the three EVSCHealth & Wellness Centers. The health clinics provide primary care services, generic prescription medications, physicals, health screenings, and labs; all at NO COST to the employee or covered family member.
This position will automatically be enrolled in the Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). Employees may also participate in a 403(b) Plan. Enrolling in the 403(b) plan allows employees to save for their retirement by making a pre-tax salary deferral contributions to the Plan.
Eligible employees may enroll in the EVSC group life insurance and long term disability plans. EVSC also offers a variety of voluntary insurance products through American Fidelity.

The Payroll Specialist serves as a key point of contact between payroll, human resources, and departmental leaders, providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise to ensure smooth payroll operations across the district.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training, accounting experience preferred, proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs required; or equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the board of school trustees.
Ability to deal with problems involving a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is almost continuously required to sit.
The noise level may vary depending upon the daily activities within the work environment, such as the number of people in the office. The work environment is frequently interrupted as the employee must meet multiple demands from many people. The employee must constantly work to meet deadlines.
