Job summary

Community Health Centers of Burlington is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Essex Junction, VT to ensure accurate payroll processing and timely reporting. The role involves coordination with the third-party payroll software vendor to resolve issues and manage related purchasing tasks, including entering POs and invoices.

This onsite position requires confidentiality and strong data handling. Ideal candidates have ADP experience and a high school diploma or GED with payroll processing experience,

Qualifications

Payroll Specialist

Full Time Essex Junction, VT, US

Salary Range: $25.48 To $32.65 Hourly

The Payroll Specialist primarily responsible for ensuring accurate processing and recording of the company's payroll, provides timely and accurate financial information, participates in daily payroll processing tasks. Works closely with employees and the third-party software vendor to resolve all payroll related issues.

This role is also responsible for purchasing, ordering supplies, entering POs, and entering invoices.

Applicants must be in Vermont. This position is onsite!

Education & Experience:

• Experience with ADP highly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED, with 3 years' experience in payroll processing preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Knowledge of payroll principles and procedures
• Exceptionally strong ability to deal sensitively with confidential material and maintain absolute confidentiality.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of computer-based payroll systems and financial programs, ADP preferred.
• Ability to work independently, with initiative, and prioritize work assignments and manage time.
• Ability to work as a team member in a cooperative, problem-solving manner.
• Ability to analyze, evaluate and reconcile accounting data.
• Analytical and problem-solving attitude.
