Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic global team at SymphonyAI. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our North American region, contributing to seamless Human Resources operations within our organization.

Job Description

What you will do:

  1. Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all North American employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  2. Maintain and update payroll records, tax information, and deductions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  3. Coordinate with HR and finance departments to ensure proper data flow and maintain accuracy in payroll-related transactions.
  4. Perform regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  5. Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries for internal review and compliance purposes.
  6. Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries and issues, providing timely and effective resolution.
  7. Stay current with changes in payroll regulations and practices, ensuring all procedures are up-to-date and compliant.
  8. Assist with the preparation and distribution of year-end tax forms and other necessary documentation.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of multi-state experience in payroll processing within the North American region.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with UKG is preferred, but familiarity with similar payroll systems is required.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designation is a plus but not required.

This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in the Denver area.

The compensation for this position includes a base salary of $70,000, along with eligibility for SymphonyAI's annual bonus program. Additionally, SymphonyAI offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) with employer matching, paid holidays, self-care days, and flexible time off.
