Job summary

Bowers CPA's & Advisors in Watertown, NY is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our CAAS team. You will provide senior-level accounting services for a portfolio of clients, including payroll processing, payables/receivables, and other accounting operations.

We value accuracy, initiative, and strong communication as you collaborate with colleagues to deliver practical financial insights and compliance across federal, state, and local payroll laws.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent years of relevant work experience
• Payroll processing, tax, and Regulations
• Self-starter and willingness to learn
• Able to multitask
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for a designated group of clients accurately and on time
• Handle payroll, payables and receivables and other accounting operations for assigned clients
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts and assist with payroll audits and related documentation as needed

Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) offers outsourced accounting services, including full-service CFO Advisory Services; controller, bookkeeping, vendor bill processing and payment, customer invoicing, payroll processing and tax reporting, and sales tax preparation. In this role, you will be a member of our CAAS group accountable for providing Senior Accountant-level accounting services, including processing payables and receivables, and various other accounting operations for assigned clients.

Pay range: $22.00-$26.00/hour
