Job summary

Current, a growing accounting platform, is seeking a Senior Accountant within our CAAS group to provide payroll processing and comprehensive accounting services for assigned clients. You'll join a team delivering outsourced accounting solutions and support clients from our New York region, including Watertown offices.

The role emphasizes accuracy, scalability, and client communication. Requirements include an Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent, payroll experience, strong Excel

Qualifications

• Process payroll for a designated group of clients accurately and on time
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
• Handle payroll inquiries from clients in a professional and timely manner
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts
• Assist with payroll audits and any related documentation as needed
• Stay updated on payroll best practices and industry changes to ensure compliance

Job Summary:

Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) offers outsourced accounting services, including full-service CFO Advisory Services; controller, bookkeeping, vendor bill processing and payment, customer invoicing, payroll processing and tax reporting, and sales tax preparation. In this role, you will be a member of our CAAS group accountable for providing Senior Accountant-level accounting services, including processing payables and receivables, and various other accounting operations for assigned clients.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent years of relevant work experience

• Payroll experience - Payroll process, tax, and Regulations

• Self-starter and willingness to learn

• Able to multitask

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel)

• Excellent attention to detail

• Solid interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent organizational/time management skills

Pay range: $22.00-$26.00/hour
