S+H Search in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Payroll Processor to support a large organization in a fast-paced, high-volume payroll environment. The role handles full-cycle payroll for salaried and hourly employees across multiple states, with exposure to UKG/UltiPro.

The position is a contract-to-hire opportunity with potential to convert to a permanent role; strong attention to detail and collaboration with HR, Benefits, and Finance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience in a high-volume environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of multi-state payroll processing and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll for salaried and hourly employees.
• Manage multi-state payroll processing while ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Review payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate payments.
• Support payroll adjustments, deductions, garnishments, and inquiries.
• Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance and other teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain payroll records and support audits and reporting requirements.
• Assist with process improvements in a fast-paced payroll environment.

Payroll Processor - Contract-to-Hire Opportunity

Paid per hour - DOE

Location: Austin, TX an experienced Payroll Processor to support a large organization in a fast-paced, high-volume payroll environment. This role will be responsible for processing payroll for thousands of employees across multiple states, supporting both salaried and hourly populations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll execution.

The ideal candidate will have strong payroll processing experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment. Experience with UKG / UltiPro is a plus but not a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle payroll for a large employee population, including both salaried and hourly employees
• Manage multi-state payroll processing while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Review payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate employee payments
• Support payroll adjustments, deductions, garnishments, and payroll-related inquiries
• Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance, and other internal teams to resolve payroll issues
• Maintain accurate payroll records and support audits and reporting requirements
• Assist with process improvements in a fast-paced payroll environment

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience required
• Experience processing payroll in a high-volume environment preferred
• Strong understanding of multi-state payroll processing and compliance requirements
• Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employees
• Canadian payroll experience is a plus but not required
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
