Employment Type: Contract - 3 Months

Compensation: $33.00 - $37.00 / Per Hour

About The Opportunity

An organization is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for approximately 300+ employees here in the DMV This is a contract opportunity ideal for a payroll professional who can work independently, communicate effectively with employees, and manage full-cycle payroll processing in a fast-paced environment.

I. Key Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll for a multi-state employee population in Paycom
• Support payroll operations for approximately 300+ employees
• Review, audit, and scrub payroll-related reports for accuracy
• Handle bank and account reconciliations
• Generate and distribute payroll reports as neededServe as a point of contact for employee payroll inquiries
• Collaborate with accounting and operations teams on payroll-related tasks
• Provide support for year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reporting
• Assist with additional accounting functions, such as accounts payable support, when needed

II. Required Qualifications

• Bank reconciliations experience
• Benefit account reconciliations
• Union Payroll experience and understanding of their laws and requirements

III. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with payroll platforms such Paylocity
• Familiarity with reporting and payroll data analysis
