Job summary

Asquith and Co accountants in Scarborough is recruiting a payroll professional to join a small team handling multiple clients. You will process payrolls weekly to monthly, manage starters and leavers, and ensure compliance with holiday pay and statutory payments.

You will also upload pension contributions, manage PAYE/CIS payments, and meet HMRC deadlines while delivering strong customer service over phone and email.

Qualifications

• Experience within payroll
• Experience in a payroll department or running payroll from start to finish
• Experience processing starters and leavers and calculating holiday pay
• Familiarity with pension contributions, PAYE, CIS and HMRC deadlines

We are exclusively working with Asquith and Co accountants in Scarborough. Due to internal movement, they are looking to recruit for a new payroll candidate to join their well established team. Working in a small payroll team you will be processing a variety of payrolls that vary from weekly to monthly. Processing starters and leavers for a number of different clients. Calculating holiday pay in line with current legislation as well as assessing entitlement to statutory payments, such as SMP, SPP, MSP and SSP.

You will also be responsible for uploading pension contributions to multiple pension providers. Processing PAYE payments and CIS returns as well as meeting HMRC submission deadlines and producing P60's, P45's.

That’s why we are looking for someone who has experience of working within a payroll department either as a payroll administrator or actually running the whole payroll function from start to finish.

Someone who has excellent customer service skills as you will be speaking to clients on a daily basis over the phone and via email about their payroll queries. Someone who has strong numeracy skills with the attention to detail to match.

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours a week either over 4 or 5 days. Once you are trained up within the role, there is the option to work Hybrid, from home and the office.
