About the Role:

We are recruiting on behalf of Ashley Furniture for a Payroll Project Manager to lead enterprise payroll transformations. This role oversees large-scale software implementations, workflow optimizations, and cross-functional technology integrations across a global workforce.

Key Responsibilities (Payroll Transformation & Projects):

• Lead enterprise payroll system implementations, upgrades, and continuous platform enhancements.
• Manage end-to-end project schedules, milestones, risk mitigation strategies, and deliverables.
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, tax laws, and internal controls.
• Partner closely with IT, HR, Accounting, and software vendors to ensure milestone alignment.
• Develop business requirements, user acceptance testing scripts, and employee training materials.

Key Responsibilities (Operational Excellence):

• Streamline payroll workflows to maximize processing speed, accuracy, and reporting clarity.
• Track and report executive project metrics, risk assessments, and implementation timelines.
• Champion technology adoption and facilitate smooth operational rollouts across enterprise locations.
• Drive ongoing process automation to elevate service standards across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, HR, or related discipline; CPP or PMP credential preferred.
• 5+ years of payroll operations experience with 3+ years managing complex enterprise projects.
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise HRIS and payroll architectures, Excel, and project management tools.
• In-depth understanding of payroll tax regulations, wage-and-hour compliance, and audit standards.
• High attention to detail, analytical rigor, and exceptional stakeholder management capabilities.
