Job description

Location: Remote with onsite travel during go-live

Summary: Looking to identify individuals that will play a critical role in workforce management by ensuring the accurate recording, validation, and reporting of employee time and attendance data, especially in large organizations, unions, manufacturing, or healthcare settings where complex schedules and labor rules apply.

Responsibilities:

• Responds to requests and inquiries from Ascension Health associates and resolves issues accordingly.
• Conducts periodic and required payroll and tax-reporting audits.
• Identifies and reconciles corrections as needed.
• Handles most non-routine issues, escalates issues that cannot be resolved to management.
• Understands and applies payroll special processing, garnishments, and tax processes, policies,
• procedures and internal control standards.

Skill-sets:

• Possesses 3-5 years of experience functioning as a payroll processor at a large organization 9preferrably healthcare)
• Hands-on experience working within Kronos or UKG technologies
• Ability to enter, review, and adjust payroll data
• Understands the end-to-end payroll cycle:
• Familiar with processing regular, off-cycle, bonus, and retroactive payrolls.
• Tax compliance knowledge includes:
• Federal, state, and local tax regulations
• FICA, FUTA, SUTA
• W-2s, 1099s, and year-end reporting
• Understanding of taxable vs. non-taxable compensation.
• Familiarity with debits, credits, journal entries, and payroll GL reconciliation.

Education:

• Must have Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college
