Job summary

RPM Living is seeking a Payroll Operations Manager to oversee multistate payroll processing for 2,500+ employees. You will collaborate with accounting and HR Tech to keep payroll accurate, up-to-date, and compliant while driving ongoing process improvements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of hands-on payroll experience, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required with 5 years of payroll processing experience in a multistate midsized company.
  • Knowledge of payroll taxes, filings and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with wage garnishments, levies, and benefits administration.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy of wages, deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Maintain and audit payroll infrastructure and collaborate with IT and HR for system updates.
  • Conduct internal payroll audits and respond to external audits as needed.
  • Monitor changes in wage and hour laws and tax regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Partner with Benefits, Recruiting, HR, and Payroll on process improvements and projects.
  • Manage month-end close for payroll-related accounts and ensure timely reporting.
