Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Irving, TX is seeking a Payroll Specialist to maintain payroll data, respond to inquiries, and support audit processes.

You will validate timekeeping, process deductions, and prepare reports in our HRIS, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations. The role requires strong detail orientation, 1 year of payroll experience, and familiarity with SAP and HRIS systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 4 years of related education or experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Payroll processing experience including regulatory requirements; internal policy and procedure; accounting practices; system software requirements.
• Knowledge of FLSA, federal and state laws, etc.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, and ability to meet deadlines.
• 1 year of experience involving extensive payroll duties.
• Team-oriented and able to work well in a team environment.
• Certified Payroll Professional Certification (2 year completion requirement)

Responsibilities

• Load and validate supplemental pay request
• Perform research on demand

• Resolve audit findings each payroll process
• Respond to inquiries from customers within SLA
• Basic Ad hoc query request
• Assist with creating scenario-based audit reports
• Write test scripts and perform assigned project duties to support departmental goals and objectives
