Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a payroll specialist to provide technical, functional, and analytical support for payroll processing and systems. You will ensure timely, accurate payrolls, resolve issues with HR or technical support, and submit Kronos and ADP requests for payroll loading and direct deposit files.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of payroll/HR/finance experience, with ADP and Kronos familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of payroll, human resource, finance, or related experience required.
• Experience with ADP and Kronos software packages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly, monthly, and special payrolls following policy guidelines and timelines.
• Assist employees with hardware, software, or access issues related to payroll systems and provide user training.
• Maintain Kronos and ADP interfaces, update time records, and produce routine/ad hoc payroll reports.
• Coordinate garnishments, levies, and other deductions with vendors and ensure prompt payments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
