Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Payroll Operations Manager in Hoboken, NJ to lead biweekly and semi-monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and driving efficiency across the finance organization.

You will partner with Tax Accounting, Human Resources, auditors, and external payroll providers to ensure compliance with evolving payroll tax laws and to mentor payroll staff. This role offers broad exposure to accounting, finance, tax, and operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field is required.
• 5+ years of payroll management experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory or people leadership experience.
• Experience with Workday Payroll and ADP SmartCompliance.
• Knowledge of payroll tax reporting, compliance, and reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee biweekly and semi-monthly payroll processing and transmissions.
• Manage relationships with ADP SmartCompliance and other payroll service providers.
• Review payroll reports, adjustments, tax filings, and reconciliations for accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise payroll staff and approve payroll processing activities.
• Partner with Human Resources on employee payroll and benefits-related matters.
• Support audits, reporting, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
