Job summary

Yuba Community College District is seeking a Payroll Supervisor at the Sutter County Center in Yuba City, CA. Under direction, you will plan, organize, supervise, and participate in payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely processing and compliance with laws and agreements.

You will lead payroll staff, coordinate with Human Resources and Fiscal Services, perform advanced analysis, and develop multi-year projections to support negotiations and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Four years of progressive payroll processing or payroll accounting experience.
• Experience supervising payroll staff and coordinating with multiple departments.
• Knowledge of federal/state payroll tax laws and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and evaluate payroll operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee payroll processing for all employee groups and regulatory reporting.
• Develop fiscal models and cost projections related to compensation and negotiations.
• Coordinate with HR, IT, and Fiscal Services on system configuration and controls.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
