Job summary

Lactalis American Group in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead the U.S. payroll function, governance, and continuous improvement across all entities. You will drive compliance, efficiency, and strong controls while partnering with Accounting, HRIS, Benefits, and Finance.

The role requires strong experience in multi-state payroll, vendor management, and system integrations, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of payroll experience required.
• 2+ years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
• CPP or FPC certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Paylocity, UKG or similar systems; advanced Excel/Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee US payroll function planning, organization and governance across entities.
• Lead weekly/biweekly payroll processing with strong internal controls.
• Monitor federal/state/local payroll regulations; implement timely compliance updates.
• Manage vendor relationships and system configurations for payroll/t&A.
• Support integrations between payroll platforms and core enterprise software.
• Drive cross-functional projects and timelines for payroll initiatives.
• Ensure accuracy of executive/ expatriate payroll components and audits.
