We are seeking a Payroll Operations Associate for our team in Riverwoods, IL. This entry-level, full-time, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in payroll operations within a collaborative environment. The team ensures timely and accurate payroll services to our clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Executing payroll processing tasks accurately using designated systems.
  2. Compiling payroll reports such as pay stubs, summaries, and tax documents.
  3. Packaging payroll reports and checks according to client specifications.
  4. Collaborating with various teams to address client requests and resolve issues.
  5. Coordinating data corrections with internal teams.
  6. Reviewing and uploading client 401(k) payroll files on online platforms.
  7. Supporting workflow improvements and automation initiatives.
  8. Assisting with onsite responsibilities like mail sorting and vendor coordination.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of business or administrative experience, payroll experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Comfort with multiple software platforms.
  • Ability to manage repetitive tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with good prioritization skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Availability for full-time onsite work, including during peak season (Dec 15 – end of Feb).

Preferred: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Compensation: $40,000–$45,000 annually, starting at $20/hour, plus benefits.
