Job summary

EDF power solutions North America in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee U.S. and Canadian payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strict internal controls.

You will manage tax setups, audits, filings, and GL reconciliations, lead a small team, and collaborate with Finance, HR, and IT for system improvements. Hybrid work with three on-site days in Rancho Bernardo.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in Accounting, HR, or related field.
• 4+ years of payroll operations experience in a multi-state environment.
• 2+ years of supervisory or people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Payroll operations across US & Canada with multi-state processing.
• Manage federal/state/provincial tax setups and withholdings.
• Audit payroll data, maintain controls, and perform reconciliations.
• Prepare post-payroll journals, wage reconciliations, and reports.
• Oversee compliance filings and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and HR for GL mapping and deductions.
• Lead SOPs and cross-train to ensure continuous operations.
