Job summary

Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee accurate, timely payrolls across student, biweekly, and monthly cycles. You will maintain payroll data in Workday, coordinate with HR and Finance, and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.

The role requires strong attention to detail, proven payroll expertise, and the ability to support audits and process improvements. The position is full-time with a standard 37.5-hour week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate degree in accounting, business administration, human resources, or a related field.
• At least three years of progressively responsible payroll processing experience.
• Experience with payroll tax reporting and year-end processing including W-2s.

Responsibilities

• Manage accurate and timely processing of student, biweekly, and monthly payrolls.
• Coordinate with HR and Finance to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliant reporting.
• Prepare quarterly tax filings and annual W-2 processing with third-party provider.
• Maintain payroll records and support audits with cross-functional teams.
