Job summary

The Seattle Art Museum seeks a Payroll Manager and Administrator to oversee biweekly payroll, benefits reporting, and payroll accounting. You will partner with People & Culture and Finance to ensure data integrity and compliance, while managing Paylocity and related controls.

In this role you will audit payroll, support timekeeping, benefits coordination, and retirement plan reporting, and contribute to process improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts in accounting or equivalent required.
  • Five to seven years of payroll and accounting experience.
  • Experience with payroll compliance and wage/hour laws.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with executives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and process payroll for 350+ employees biweekly.
  • Ensure accurate payroll data and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage timekeeping and leave/benefits integration in Paylocity.
  • Coordinate year-end payroll activities and W-2 processing.
  • Provide audits support and payroll reporting for management.
  • Improve payroll processes and internal controls.
