Job summary

Wheeler Machinery Sales, Inc. in Utah seeks a Payroll Supervisor to oversee and supervise payroll processing, ensuring compliance with governmental, company, and union rules, and to deliver accurate compensation and deductions on a timely basis.

You will manage timekeeping, ensure the employees' general ledger correctness, maintain coding accuracy, and handle biweekly payrolls with manual adjustments and approvals.

Qualifications

• Intermediate knowledge of accounting and balancing.
• Knowledge of payroll concepts (garnishments, tax laws, final pay rules, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing.

• Reporting weekly 401k contributions, quarterly pension, validate Tax filing.
• Specialized reporting for departments for wages and hours worked.
• Oversee and file weekly and quarterly reports such as taxes, 401k contributions and loan payments and HSA and flex benefits.
• Facilitate audits and testing (401k testing/matches, audits, census reporting).
• Apply for and maintain withholding and unemployment licenses.
• Apply any changes to the system (wage/title changes, reorganizations, cost center changes).
• Respond to employee and manager questions.
• Keep informed of legislative changes for compliance.
• Supervise and approve the W2 processing.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
