Role Description

The Payroll Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in San Antonio, FL. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state operations, ensuring accurate and timely payment for all employees. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing payroll administration, validating time and attendance data, managing payroll tax filings, and handling garnishments and deductions. The Payroll Manager will collaborate with HR and Finance to maintain employee records, coordinate benefits-related payroll changes, and support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role also involves responding to employee payroll inquiries, preparing payroll reports for leadership, and identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Payroll Administration and Payroll Management for multi-state or multi-location workforces.
• Experience managing Garnishments, including proper setup, tracking, and compliance with court and agency requirements.
• Knowledge of Payroll Taxes, including calculation, reporting, and remittance at federal, state, and local levels.
• Understanding of Employee Benefits and how benefit elections impact payroll deductions and net pay.
• Experience with payroll software and HRIS platforms; proficiency in spreadsheets and reporting tools.
• Solid understanding of wage and hour laws and general HR compliance practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with operations, HR, and finance teams.
• Prior experience in transportation, logistics, or a similar fast-paced operational environment is beneficial.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
