Job description

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll and HR administration operations across the United States and Canada.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and manage the Payroll & HR Administration team supporting US and Canadian operations.
• Oversee payroll processing, reporting, accuracy, compliance, and quality assurance.
• Manage payroll, time & attendance, and HR administration vendors.
• Provide guidance on US and Canadian payroll policies, regulations, taxes, deductions, garnishments, and compliance.
• Partner with HR, management, and business stakeholders to resolve complex payroll and HR administration issues.
• Develop and implement payroll procedures, policies, and process improvements.
• Support payroll system troubleshooting, optimization, integrations, and ongoing improvements.
• Participate in company projects, mergers, acquisitions, and payroll integrations.
• Train and develop payroll team members and ensure consistent processes and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Strong US and Canadian payroll experience — REQUIRED
• Hands-on experience with Ceridian and/or Dayforce
• Experience managing and developing a payroll team.
• Strong knowledge of US and Canadian payroll regulations, taxes, deductions, garnishments, and compliance.
• Experience managing payroll vendors and time & attendance systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict payroll deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Dayforce/Ceridian implementation, troubleshooting, or post-implementation optimization.
• Experience supporting payroll during mergers, acquisitions, or integrations.
• Global or expatriate payroll experience, including shadow payroll.
• Strong process improvement and continuous improvement experience.
