Job summary

Presbyterian Medical Services, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll functions for the organization. The role requires supervising payroll staff and ensuring accurate, compliant processing across multiple locations.

Remote eligible – must reside in New Mexico or Texas. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and at least 5 years of payroll experience are required, with Oracle experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management or closely related field.
• Minimum five years' experience in payroll administration or related field, of which two years include supervisory experience.
• Knowledge and skill with automated financial applications, including personal computer and related software. Oracle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise payroll functions for the organization.
• Supervise payroll staff and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with Finance on payroll reporting and controls.
• Maintain accuracy of payroll records and payroll taxes.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position has the sole responsibility for oversight and supervision of payroll functions for the organization.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management or closely related field.
• Minimum five years' experience in payroll administration or related field, of which two years include supervisory experience.
• Knowledge and skill with automated financial applications, including personal computer and related software. Oracle experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• American Payroll Association Fundamental Payroll Certification preferred; recommended within 24 months of hire.
• Certified Payroll Professional certification strongly preferred within 60 months of hire.
