Job summary

Yosemite Community College District is seeking a Payroll Analyst in Central Services to manage district-wide payroll processing, GL postings, and reporting. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely deposits while supporting staff and responding to employee inquiries.

The role requires strong technical payroll knowledge, ability to lead cycles, and collaboration with finance teams. Expect a full-time schedule at the District Office in Modesto, CA, with occasional extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal, state labor and payroll reporting laws, regulations, and practices.
• Knowledge of payroll processing methods, financial mathematics and statistics.
• Confidentiality requirements related to personnel and financial records, data, files, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate payroll processes for District-wide cycles and contracts.
• Audit and balance payrolls, prepare reports, deposits and direct deposits.
• Train and provide back-up support for Payroll staff and coordination.
• Interpret policies and respond to employee payroll inquiries.
