Are you a Payroll Implementation Consultant with expertise in Norwegian payroll regulations and processes?
We’re hiring for a remote, full-time Functional Consultant role on a 12-month contract to support the implementation of an innovative, cloud-based payroll solution set to transform payroll delivery worldwide.
The Opportunity
You'll play a critical role in the end-to-end implementation of a next-generation payroll platform built for scalability, compliance, and real-time processing. This solution is already rolling out globally and is designed to optimise accuracy and efficiency with built-in anomaly detection, audit controls, and zero-downtime processing.
You'll be responsible for configuring and validating the solution for Norway-based clients, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless implementation experience.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the functional lead during client kick-off sessions and requirement-gathering workshops
Guide clients through payroll configuration and ensure alignment with best practices
Identify any deviations from standard product capabilities and manage risks
Collaborate with the Product team to ensure the payroll solution is configured correctly
Validate payroll outputs and integration points during all testing phases
Support data mapping, validations, and issue resolution across systems
Provide input into project planning, deliverables, and documentation
Ensure smooth knowledge transfer to the ongoing delivery and operations teams
Support UAT and go-live activities, providing resolution plans where needed
What You’ll Need
Strong experience in a payroll consultancy, implementation, or functional analyst role
In-depth knowledge of Norwegian payroll, tax, and compliance legislation
Proven track record working on full payroll implementation lifecycles
Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
Ability to capture, analyse, and clearly document client requirements
Familiarity with integration workflows and system testing procedures
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Proactive problem-solver with high attention to detail
Comfortable working across time zones in a global delivery model
Strong written and verbal communication skills
