THE OPPORTUNITY:

Our client is seeking a hands-on Implementation Consultant with deep experience deploying BNA (Bloomberg Industry Group) software. The implementation is partially complete, with requirements already gathered and initial configurations in place. Due to bandwidth constraints of the incumbent team the consultant will step in to finalize the implementation and ensure a smooth deployment.

This role will function as both the internal project lead and subject matter expert—responsible for managing the project, consolidating and validating data from various systems, building structured templates for import, and training internal staff on the platform. The consultant should bring both tax technical knowledge and systems implementation experience, particularly around working with limited internal resources in highly manual environments.

Remote candidates will be considered, though some ability to support internal team training is desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Evaluate the current state of the BNA software implementation and identify remaining gaps and tasks for go-live readiness.
Act as internal project manager and implementation specialist—overseeing timelines, coordinating with stakeholders, and driving execution.
Gather, organize, and validate financial data from subledgers and supporting systems, reconciling it to the general ledger.
Build structured, clean templates to support bulk uploads into the BNA platform from legacy data sources.
Develop and document standard operating procedures for future use of the system and internal training.
Identify opportunities for process automation, improved reporting, and internal resource leverage to reduce manual workflows.
Deliver hands-on training to accounting and tax staff to ensure successful adoption and knowledge transfer.
Provide guidance on technical configurations, reporting capabilities, and compliance considerations related to the software.
Support collaboration between the tax director, accounting, and external stakeholders to drive project completion.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field; CPA or MST preferred.
7+ years of experience in tax operations, accounting systems, or financial technology implementation roles.
Demonstrated success implementing BNA (Bloomberg Industry Group) software in a hands-on, lead capacity.
Experience consolidating data from multiple sources and reconciling to GLs in manual, non-integrated environments.
Strong understanding of tax data structures, reporting requirements, and software configuration best practices.
Prior experience working with or alongside Big 4/public accounting firms is strongly preferred.
Excellent communication skills and ability to train, support, and influence internal teams.
Background in consulting or project-based roles with high degrees of autonomy is preferred.
