Job summary

Soris Pain & Vascular Institute is seeking a versatile Payroll/HR Generalist to support payroll, HRIS, reporting and HR operations across a growing multi-entity healthcare organization in Illinois. You will manage payroll processes, HRIS data, and reporting in Paylocity, while assisting with benefits and compliance.

The role requires 3 years payroll experience, HRIS experience, and strong Excel skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years payroll experience.
• 1 year of HRIS configuration or HRIS data/reporting experience.
• Experience in a multi-entity or multi-state organization.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups); comfortable building reports.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and discreet with confidential information.
• Able to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly and monthly payroll across multiple entities and states, including pre- and post-payroll reconciliation.
• Keep employee, compensation, tax, deduction, and direct deposit records accurate in Paylocity.
• Configure and maintain HR systems: earning and deduction codes, PTO policies, workflows, onboarding templates, and benefit plan setup, and entity creation.
• Build and run recurring and ad hoc reports, such as headcount, turnover, payroll, compliance, and benefits.
• Support M&A integration: employee census and data mapping, moving acquired employees into HR systems and benefits, and onboarding new entities.
• Support benefits execution, open enrollment, and carrier file accuracy in partnership with HR Director.
• Assist with internal and external related matters - benefit administration, compliance, unemployment claims, personnel files, etc.
• Answer employee payroll, benefits, and HR questions; serve as primary contact when covering Generalist duties.
• Help with quarter-end and year-end activities, including W-2 review.
• Document processes and improve efficiency and controls.

Required Qualifications

• Detail-oriented, organized, and discreet with confidential information.
• Able to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced, growing organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Employee Relations, Benefits, or other HR centers of expertise.
• M&A or new-entity integration experience.
• MSO or healthcare shared-services experience.
• Paylocity experience preferred.

Salary

$60,000 - $70,000
