Job summary

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking a payroll-oriented professional in Orient, OH, to manage accurate payroll processing and benefits administration. You will handle Kronos timekeeping, OAKS payroll entries, deductions, and tax processing while ensuring compliance with state regulations.

The role requires attention to detail, strong teamwork, and the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines in a full-time capacity at the Correction Reception Center in Orient.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting or finance, including payroll processing.
• Familiarity with Kronos and OAKS payroll systems.
• Attention to detail and ability to interpret codes and deductions.
• Knowledge of payroll taxes and reporting requirements.
• Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain employee records in Kronos and post leave and schedules.
• Audit timesheets and ensure payroll accuracy and deadlines.
• Process taxes and deductions and handle pay adjustments.
• Generate and review payroll reports in OAKS/Cognos.
• Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries.
