Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a payroll-focused professional in Nashville to support payroll readiness and accurate timekeeping across assigned units. You will review time entries, resolve discrepancies, and act as the main local resource for payroll inquiries, coordinating with Shared Services and People Practices to ensure compliant processing.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in payroll or timekeeping, a CPP certification preferred, and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.

Reviews timekeeping entries for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies, union agreements, and wage and hour requirements. Serves as a primary local resource for payroll-related inquiries and timekeeping guidance. Coordinates with Shared Services Payroll and People Practices to support compliant payroll processing and issue resolution. Contributes to consistent payroll operations and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Reviews, validates, and approves employee time entries across approved timekeeping systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission for payroll processing.Identifies and resolves discrepancies in time and pay data, including overtime, double time, and leave entries, prior to payroll submission.Serves as a primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, providing guidance to craft and administrative employees and supporting issue resolution.Coordinates payroll corrections and adjustments with Shared Services Payroll, including processing updates and supporting resolution of pay-related issues.Supports payroll-related onboarding and offboarding activities, including system setup, tax elections, direct deposit, and timekeeping access.Ensures compliance with applicable payroll regulations, wage and hour requirements, union agreements, and company policies.Collaborates with field leadership, People Practices, and other cross-functional partners to support payroll readiness, employee movement, and operational alignment.Education Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.Work Experience:2-4 years of experience in payroll processing, timekeeping administration, or a related field required.Experience supporting multi-state payroll environments, union agreements, or construction payroll practices preferred.Certifications and Licenses:Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.DPR Construction is a forward-thinking, self-performing general contractor specializing in technically complex and sustainable projects for the advanced technology, life sciences, healthcare, higher education and commercial markets.
