Job summary

ProMachinnovation is seeking a Payroll Director in Covington, KY, to lead the Payroll Department and ensure compliance across the United States and Canada. The role includes strategic project management related to payroll initiatives and collaboration with Human Resources.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of payroll experience and a robust understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, alongside the ability to manage and mentor a payroll team. ProMach offers competitive compensation and benefits from day one.

  • 10+ years of progressive Payroll experience, with 3–5 years of hands‐on experience with Workday.
  • Experience handling diverse pay types, including hourly, salaried, commissions, bonuses, and equity/stock-based compensation.
  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business environment.

You'll ensure compliance and consistent application of federal, state, and local laws. The position will also lead strategic project management for company acquisitions and technology integrations as it relates to payroll.
