Job summary

Lower, LLC is a mission-driven fintech seeking a Payroll Specialist to support semi-monthly payroll processing, tax coordination, troubleshooting payroll issues, and reporting. You will input and maintain employee information, monitor the Payroll email inbox, and assist with timesheet corrections and state tax set-up.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience, strong organizational and communication skills, high attention to detail, and solid Excel abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly payroll including multi-state and various pay types of compensation including commission, bonus and overtime.
• Input and maintain employee information necessary for processing payroll.
• Monitors the Payroll email inbox and quickly responds to routine payroll related questions with accurate, thorough and helpful answers.
• Assist employees and managers with processing of timesheet corrections.
• Assists with the tax set-up in new states for unemployment and withholding.
• Other miscellaneous payroll duties as assigned.
