Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to perform specialized payroll record keeping, maintenance, review, verification, and support to ensure accurate processing of payroll functions. You will handle weekly Canada payroll, learn Workday, and respond to payroll inquiries while partnering with the Payroll lead to balance totals.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of payroll experience, an Associate's Degree in accounting or related field, and strong problem-solving and customer-service

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of payroll experience or equivalent.
• Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Strong math aptitude and understanding of payroll taxes and government regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly Canada payroll and related records.
• Learn and utilize Workday and interacting systems.
• Respond promptly to payroll questions via phone, fax, and email.
• Balance weekly payroll totals with Payroll lead.
• Run weekly/annual bonus payrolls and verify output.
• Process STD/LTD and worker's comp payments weekly.
• Verify earnings for Service Canada within 48 hours.
• Audit new hire reporting for proper setup.
