Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support the Payroll Operations team during a busy holiday season. You will keep payroll accurate and on time, resolve employee questions, and process off-cycle and final pay.

This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys fast-paced, hands-on payroll work and operates in a hybrid Portland environment. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of payroll or HR experience, hands-on ADP (Workforce Now preferred), and strong attention to detail with

• Experience resolving employee payroll questions and working in a ticketing system.
• Strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Support off-cycle payroll checks and final pay processing via check or ACH.
• Handle timecard tickets and employee payroll inquiries.
• Process mail, scan documents, and upload items into the right ADP modules (tax, garnishment, etc.).
• Pull wage and pay history for employment verifications.
• Support unemployment claims and other payroll admin tasks as volume increases.

Our client, a well‑known global brand, is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to support the Payroll Operations team through the busy holiday season. You'll help keep payroll accurate and on time during a high-volume stretch, resolve employee questions, and process off‑cycle and final pay. It's a good fit if you like fast‑paced, hands‑on payroll work.

What You'll Do

• Support off‑cycle payroll checks and final pay processing via check or ACH

• Process mail, scan documents, and upload items into the right ADP modules (tax, garnishment, etc.)

What You'll Need

• 2+ years of payroll or HR experience, ideally in a large multi‑state environment
• Hands‑on ADP experience (Workforce Now preferred)
• Experience resolving employee payroll questions and working in a ticketing system
• Strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information

Nice to Have

• UKG experience
• Knowledge of Oregon and California payroll regulations

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
