Job summary

Reyes Beverage Group in Texas seeks a Payroll Specialist to ensure timely, accurate payroll processing across weekly and bi-weekly cycles and to maintain strict regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with HRIS for system integrity, provide training to teammates, and oversee payroll adjustments, deductions, bonuses and final checks for separations.

High school diploma with 0–2 years experience required; college degree and UKG/Kronos experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 0–2 years related experience.
• College degree preferred; UKG/Kronos experience is a plus.
• Experience with payroll regulations and benefits processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on time in accordance with government regulations.
• Oversee multiple weekly and bi-weekly payrolls with adherence to CBAs and contracts.
• Ensure payroll accuracy and regulatory compliance for federal and state laws.
• Analyze payroll issues and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with HRIS to maintain system integrity during payroll setup and updates.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members on payroll processes.
• Oversee salary adjustments, deductions, bonuses, and final checks for separations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Position Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely, accurate payroll processing in compliance with government regulations as a Payroll Specialist
• Manage and oversee the processing of multiple weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, ensuring full compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements and contractual obligations
• Guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing while strictly adhering to all relevant federal and state regulations
• Conduct thorough analysis of payroll issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions to improve efficiency and accuracy as a Payroll Specialist
• Collaborate effectively with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to maintain system integrity and ensure compliance during payroll setup and updates
• Provide comprehensive training and mentorship to team members, facilitating local training sessions as needed to enhance team skills and knowledge
• Oversee and manage salary adjustments, deductions, bonuses, and payroll accounting, including the processing of final checks for both voluntary and involuntary employee separations
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma with 0 to 2 years of related experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

• College Degree
• Experience with UKG or Kronos Timekeeping System
