Job summary

PEG Companies, Inc. seeks a Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll function for PEG Companies, Inc. and its subsidiaries, ensuring accurate wages, tax withholdings, benefits withholdings, and company deductions.

The role directs payroll staff, coordinates with HR and accounting, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws. Experience with multi-state payroll and Paylocity is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with multi-state payroll and tax reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, human resources, or related field preferred.
• Human Resources certification desired.
• Proficient with Paylocity and HRIS systems.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops best practices to improve efficiency of payroll processes.
• Coordinates with HR and accounting to ensure timely payroll processing.
• Oversees payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Maintains employee payroll and benefits records.
• Ensures compliance with payroll laws and best practices.
• Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Identifies updates to payroll software and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
