Alpha Inc. is seeking a payroll professional to own accurate processing, data analysis, and regulatory compliance across our Hawaiian and U.S. operations. You’ll drive continuous improvements, maintain secure handling of payroll data, and partner with HR and IT to streamline workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of certified payroll experience (construction industry a strong advantage).
• Deep understanding of payroll laws, taxes, and compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Detail‑oriented and highly organized.
• Discreet, trustworthy, and professional with sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Execute timely, accurate payroll processing across all employees.
• Track hours, deductions, adjustments, and changes with zero margin for error.
• Analyze payroll data for trends, discrepancies, and optimization opportunities.
• Build reports that actually help leadership make decisions.
• Ensure payroll aligns with federal, Hawai‘i state, and local labor laws.
• Stay ahead of regulatory changes.
• Maintain and improve payroll systems (UKG, NetSuite, etc.).
• Partner with HR + IT to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.
• Manage certified payroll reporting for projects.
• Conduct audits, reconcile accounts, and resolve issues before they elevate.
• Handle employee payroll questions with clarity and urgency.
• Protect confidentiality like it’s non‑negotiable.
• Identify breakdowns and fix them.
• Recommend smarter, faster, more accurate ways to operate.
