Job summary

The Planet Group in Detroit, Michigan, is seeking a Payroll Analyst to ensure accurate and timely biweekly payroll processing for our employees. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and maintains confidential payroll records.

You will collaborate with Human Resources, Benefits, Finance and third-party vendors to support payroll reporting, tax compliance, reconciliations and continuous process improvements.

Job description

The Payroll Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees while ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and company payroll regulations. This role manages biweekly payroll activities, processes payroll transactions, audits payroll data, responds to employee inquiries, and maintains accurate payroll records.

The Payroll Analyst works closely with Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, and third-party payroll vendors to ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule. The role also supports payroll reporting, tax compliance, reconciliations, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
