Job summary

Alfa Insurance is seeking a detail-oriented payroll and HRIS specialist to handle commissions data entry, agent header maintenance, and IE financing file management. This role supports mainframe calculations for agents pay and handles payroll tax processing.

It also serves as a backup to other payroll specialists and supports employee savings questions. The ideal candidate has a 4-year college degree and 2 years of HR timekeeping experience, with strong Excel/HRIS skills and excellent

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in the management of HR timekeeping systems preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and ability to work without direct daily supervision.
• Computer Skills Preferred: Excel / HRIS.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate processing of commissions.
• Responsible for the employee savings plan, uploading and balancing the account, making monthly journal entries to report transactions correctly in Financials, balances and distributes quarterly statements.
• PSHR setup and maintain all AL Agents, AL/GA/MS IEAs, AA and District Managers.
• Responsible for header coding, establishing charges, and short term disability payments.
• Uploads and balances the deposits for each payroll bi-weekly/semi-monthly/monthly.
• Manage the payroll tax & accounting process.
• Maintains account balances to ensure NSF do not occur.
• Balance payroll before confirmation.
• Assist in resolving questions regarding the payroll process.
