Job summary

Blue Compass RV is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our team and handle multi-state payroll responsibilities. The role requires California payroll experience and the ability to process semi-monthly payroll cycles from start to finish.

The ideal candidate will manage payroll reporting, assist in commission calculations, and respond to employee inquiries while ensuring compliance with wage and labor laws. This on-site role offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of California payroll experience (required).
• Process beginning to end semi-monthly payroll cycle of multi-state employees to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare payroll reporting internally and externally.
• Assist in commission review and calculations.
• Address payroll inquiries from employees and management.
• Analyze payroll issues and provide appropriate action plans.
• Maintain current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and labor laws.
• Ensure documentation is retained per legal requirements and company policy.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• 3+ years of California payroll experience (required)
• Process beginning to end semi-monthlypayroll cycle of multi-state employees to ensure timely completion
• Prepare payroll reporting internally and externally
• Assist in commission review and calculations
• Address payroll inquiries from employees and management
• Analyze payroll issues and provide appropriate action plans

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• 2+ years of payroll dealership experience (preferred)
• College Degree (preferred but not required)
• Experience in processing payroll in Paylocity (preferred)Excellent communication/organization skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite to include Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, etc.
• Intermediate Excel skills to include use of pivot tables, xlookups, etc.
• Self-starter, great work ethic, and commitment to organizational success
• Exemplary business ethics, professionalism, and integrity
• Attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
