Qualifications

• General office, accounting and/or trucking experience is preferred.
• Ability to learn and understand trucking industry practices.
• Excellent data entry, keyboard and ten-key skills.
• Basic understanding of mathematical/accounting procedures is required.
• Payroll experience is helpful.
• Attention to detail with the ability to locate discrepancies is essential.

Job Description

Billing & Settlement Clerk, Trucking Position Summary: In this dynamic, customer service driven environment the Billing & Settlement Clerk will interact with a diverse workforce including drivers, colleagues and managers. The Billing & Settlement clerk is responsible for ensuring proper billing of freight to customers and correct settlement for driver payroll.

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately process trips for driver payroll, meeting weekly and monthly deadlines
• Ensure delivered loads bill the correct party for the correct amount, including ensuring proper accessorial charges are billed
• Solving relatively complex problems related to compensation
• Develop understanding of union and non-union payroll policies to research and answer questions from drivers/hourly employees regarding payroll matters
• Work with managers to ensure proper documentation for worked and earned compensation is processed

Job Requirements

• General office, accounting and/or Trucking experience preferred
• Ability to learn and understand Trucking industry practices
• Excellent data entry, keyboard and ten key skills
• Basic understanding of mathematical/accounting procedures is required
