Job summary

Credit Union West in Glendale, AZ is hiring a People Specialist - Payroll and Benefits (PSPB). You will manage bi-weekly payroll, oversee benefits administration including 401K and health plans, and support engagement and culture through recognition and wellness programs.

The role emphasizes strong HRIS knowledge, regulatory compliance, and collaborative work with leaders and staff to maintain payroll accuracy and employee satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years related experience in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree required; professional HR certifications preferred (PHR/SPHR/CP-SHRM/SCP-SHRM).
• Strong knowledge in HRIS systems and payroll/benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Processing and Reporting for bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Benefits and Retirement administration including 401k, health, and welfare plans.
• Administer recognition programs and support engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate wellness initiatives and health awareness events.
• Handle HR communications and maintain proper documentation.
