McMillan James Equipment Company is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to own payroll end-to-end, manage health, HSA, and 401(k) programs, and serve as the main contact for payroll and benefits questions.

The ideal candidate will handle tax filings, deductions, and enrollments while ensuring compliance and accuracy for a diverse employee base. Strong attention to detail is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll experience, multi-state preferred.
• 2+ years of benefits administration experience.
• Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• Experience administering a 401(k) plan including safe harbor and Form 5500 filings.
• Strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.

Responsabilités

• Process semi-monthly and monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple locations.
• Manage health, dental, vision, life, and HSAs; oversee open enrollment and carrier communications.
• Administer the 401(k) plan, including deferrals, loans, distributions, and compliance.
• Maintain confidential personnel files and support HR metrics and audits.
• Collaborate with Accounting on payroll-related reconciliations and reporting.
