Role Overview

We seek a Payroll & Benefits Manager to oversee payroll and employee benefits across the US and Canada. Reporting to the Director of Finance and working closely with HR and external vendors, this role requires expertise in multi-jurisdictional compliance and a focus on operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage bi-national payroll operations, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  2. Oversee employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and wellness.
  3. Ensure adherence to legal requirements and regulations across jurisdictions.
  4. Lead open enrollment and benefits communication.
  5. Maintain system integrations and resolve discrepancies.
  6. Drive process improvements and automation in payroll and benefits administration.
  7. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  8. Prepare reports and handle inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
  9. Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field; CPP designation is a plus.
  2. 5-7 years in payroll processing and benefits administration.
  3. Deep knowledge of US and Canadian payroll laws and systems.
  4. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proficiency in payroll and HRIS systems, experience with BambooHR and PayEvo preferred.
  6. Ability to handle sensitive data and meet deadlines.
