Job summary

Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Dallas, TX is seeking a Payroll/Benefits Manager to oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance across the Dickey's umbrella. This in-office role requires a strong background in payroll and benefits with an emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality.

The successful candidate will handle W-2s/1099s, LOA/FMLA tracking, and compensation program administration while collaborating with HR and Accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing and benefits administration.
• Experience with exempt/non-exempt payroll, timekeeping, W-2s and 1099s.
• FMLA/LOA knowledge and compliance reporting.
• Attention to detail, analytical and deadline-driven.
• Excellent communication and confidentiality.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; valid driver's license; local travel.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Investigate and resolve payroll, benefits, and compensation discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll, accounting, compliance, and management reports; support audits.
• Ensure compliance with payroll, benefits, and employment requirements.
• Coordinate with HR and Accounting for W-2s, 1099s, and filings.
• Administer and update compensation programs as needed.
• Respond to payroll and benefits questions from employees.
• Assist with LOA/FMLA tracking and compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Provide discreet support for executive and family-related requests.
• Meet deadlines and follow SOPs; in-office role with no relocation allowance.
