Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is seeking a Benefits Coordinator and Payroll professional to manage payroll processing, benefits enrollment, and COBRA-related tasks.

This onsite, full-time role requires close collaboration with Human Resources and Accounting, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy across all payroll and benefits activities. Ideal candidates will have 2–4 years in payroll and 1–3+ years in benefits, with a degree in HR, Accounting, or a related field, and familiarity with Paycom or

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Accounting or related field preferred.
• 2-4 years’ experience in payroll with knowledge of payroll and compliance regulations.
• 1-3+ years of experience in benefits preferred.
• Proficiency in payroll software; experience with Paycom a plus.
• Availability to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays to process payroll related items.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for all locations and enter earnings and deductions.
• Prepare payments for payroll deductions and expenses including taxes, annuities, Garnishments.
• Generate payroll journals and state/city tax returns.
• Train managers and timekeepers on time and attendance software.
