Job summary

Kontoor Brands is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Analyst to manage Canadian payroll and US/Canada benefits programs while ensuring compliance and data integrity. The role covers wage calculations, tax withholdings, and benefits administration across North America, with emphasis on Workday for Canadian payroll.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Canada payroll experience, 2+ years of benefits experience, and strong HRIS proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in HR or related/analytical discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of Canada payroll experience and 2+ years of benefits experience.
• Analytical mindset with HR/finance knowledge; advanced Excel; HRIS/payroll system proficiency (Workday required).
• Compliance knowledge (federal/state payroll laws, benefits regulations).
• Strong problem-solving and process-improvement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process employee wages, including complex calculations (commissions, overtime, bonuses, short term disability payments).
• Manage tax withholdings, deductions and garnishments and audit payroll process for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare reports (e.g., year-end tax forms).
• Administer and optimize employee welfare programs (health, retirement, welfare) for both the US and Canada.
• Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries to resolution and escal ate issues as needed.
• Partner with US and Canadian vendors to administer benefits and payroll.
• Ensure compliance with country and state/province specific regulations for payroll and benefits.
• Process benefit and vendor invoices for payment.
• Analyze payroll and benefits data to identify trends, cost savings, and policy improvements.
• Recommend process changes and system enhancements including taking the lead to implement Workday for Canadian payroll.
