The Payroll & Benefits Administrator will perform payroll processing, timekeeping, and benefits administration for selected programs, coordinating with management and benefit providers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with courses in finance/human resources or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years’ experience in payroll/benefits administration.
  • U.S. citizenship is required; ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Performs the day-to-day activities of the payroll function responsible for the timely preparation of payroll checks, withholding deposits, and payroll accounting.
  • Processes garnishment requests and responds to requests for verification of employment, medical support orders, etc.
  • Performs the weekly activities of the timekeeping function, ensuring all employees have entered accurate time and all hours are properly booked into the accounting system.
  • Verifies the weekly HR input and new hire entries to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensures that the payroll system is operating accurately by performing various balancing and reconciliation procedures.
  • Administers the company’s 401(k) plan and selected welfare benefit plans.
  • Assists government and auditors by providing documents and analytical schedules as requested.

The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join our team. The Payroll & Benefits Administrator will perform a variety of payroll related activities, employee travel expense report processing, and coordination of administrative activities for selected employee benefit programs with the employee, company management, and benefit providers.

This position is 100% on-site.
Additionally, The Payroll & Benefits Administrator Will
  • Performs the day-to-day activities of the payroll function responsible for the timely preparation of payroll checks, withholding deposits, and payroll accounting
  • Processes garnishment requests and responds to requests for verification of employment, medical support orders, etc.
  • Performs the weekly activities of the timekeeping function, ensuring all employees have entered accurate time and all hours are properly booked into the accounting system
  • Verifies the weekly HR input and new hire entries to ensure accuracy
  • Ensures that the payroll system is operating accurately by performing various balancing and reconciliation procedures. Assists the Finance team with reconciliations of general ledger payroll accounts, making corrections when appropriate
  • Processes all requests for Educational Assistance, including the preparation of employee agreements, tuition receipts for reimbursement and university invoices for payment
  • Assists government and independent auditors by providing documents and analytical schedules as requestedImplement, update and test proposed changes that will affect the payroll software system with minimal outside supervision and assistance from other departments, as needed
  • Administers the company’s Employee Savings Plan (401k Plan) and selected welfare benefit plans
  • Administers sick leave programs, including FMLA, by coordinating leave requests, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, tracking leave usage and communicating the required information to employees and management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with courses in finance/human resources or equivalent
  • Work involves practical job knowledge and skills gained with 0-2 years’ experience in payroll/benefits administration
  • Experience with UKG payroll system and/or SAP a plus but not required
  • The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees is essential
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
