Job summary

Abdo LLP is seeking a Payroll Associate to support our full-service payroll clients within a client-facing, hybrid work environment. You will enter and reconcile payroll data, generate reports, and stay abreast of payroll/tax regulations while delivering proactive service to multiple clients.

The role requires 2+ years of payroll experience, an associate degree or related work background, and strong communication skills to manage deadlines across various projects, with flexible technology usage

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting, business, or related field.
• 2+ years' payroll and related software experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong problem solving and time management.

Responsibilities

• Enter and manage client payroll data accurately and on time, including hires/terminations, wage adjustments, special payments, tax allocations, and employee deductions or adjustments.
• Reconcile and preview payrolls prior to submission and validate confirmed reports.
• Assemble payroll reports and process post-payroll reporting functions including: 401k, HSA, and PERA contributions or other client related reporting.
• Provide quality, proactive, and ongoing client and employee service to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of integrated software platforms and stay informed on changing regulation related to payroll/tax laws, and relevant HR topics.
• Communicate with software providers, taxing authorities, and jurisdictions to ensure timely and accurate filings and full regulatory compliance.
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
