Job summary

Abdo LLP in Edina, MN seeks an Associate to support full-service payroll clients. You will handle payroll data, ensure accuracy, and meet deadlines in a client-facing role within a people-first, flexible firm.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or related work experience in payroll.
• 2+ years of payroll and related software experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Comfortable with multiple technology resources to process payroll and workloads.
• Experience handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Enter and manage client payroll data accurately and on time, including hires/terminations, adjustments, and deductions.
• Reconcile and preview payrolls before submission and validate reports.
• Assemble payroll reports and post-payroll tasks including 401(k), HSA, and PERA contributions.
• Provide proactive client and employee service to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of integrated software platforms and payroll/tax regulation updates.
• Communicate with software providers and tax authorities to ensure compliant filings.
• Manage payroll workflow to ensure timely processing of transactions.
